Music Editing

A music editing to emphasize a scene from The Birds, with music and other sonic elements. More musical storytelling, available here and here.

In picture sound, music, along with the dialog and the editing, plays a part in delivering the emotive response and moods of moving pictures.

In music editing, there are two main professional positions: the Music Supervisor and the Music Editor. Required when production foregoes an original composition to compile the soundtrack with licensed music.

I strive to deliver a seamlessly integrated soundtrack and the necessary sound elements. To emphasize climatic moments and pivotal emotions, and to convey the intended experience.

It’s the sole production’s responsibility to provide legally licensed music and to bear associated liabilities, contracts, and costs. Along with verifiable legally licensed music, the production is required to provide an AAF session complete with the final cut and the dialog.
